About the artist:
Jenny Kallin is a retired library conservator who creates art at home from her collection of dolls houses and from items seen in museums. She has an art degree from many years ago, and even used to hold small art exhibitions as a child, along with her brother. Jenny's art was part of the family shows at Burgh House with three other children. The artist has also exhibited at Beach Creative in Herne Bay, and at museums in Maidstone, Basingstoke, and at Bankside. Currently, Jenny has work on a show at the House of Smalls in Edinburgh. Also, she has taken part in several group shows at cave.
Jenny's favourite artists are Alfred Kubin, George Cruikshank, and Bruno Schulz. She also greatly appreciates the drawings of Henry Moore.
Recently, the artist has illustrated a book of poems in collaboration with her husband.
